One invaluable way that our members and supporters help these heritage horses is by providing homes to horses that need them. Some of these are from the Muster. Others we come across as part of our horse welfare work and are from homes where circumstances have changed and the horse is needing to be re-homed.
KHH often finds horses in dire situations and in need of immediate up lift. These horses always need two things. An immediate place to graze and an eventual permanent home.
We need help from people who can provide both, equally for horses from the muster and from our welfare work.
If you are interested in supporting our heritage horses in this way we have more information on what is involved.
Finally, if you have grazing and would like to help, get in touch, and one of the Area Reps will contact you to talk further.
I had been wondering if your web host is OK? Not that I’m complaining, but sluggish loading instances times will very frequently affect your placement in google and can damage your high quality score if advertising and marketing with Adwords
Would you let someone but the entire herd off you so that the horses could be bred and sold? You wouldn’t have any probs then.
Hi,
Im new to at this Kaimanawa program. Can you only buy a Kaimanawa when the muster is every 2 years. Or can you buy them all year round? Wild I mean.
Hi, The muster is biennial (every two years) at this point in time – it used to be annual. The 2012 muster has just been completed. However KHH often have horses to re-home so if you are interested in taking on a Kaimanawa please email us at info@KaimanawaHeritageHorses.org

Hi Christina, the cost will be $200.00 for the first horse and $170.00 for second plus horses. That is for the wild horses they are wild and not broken in, however we do get horses for sale and we can put you in touch with people to handle a horse from the muster at your cost.
hi just wondering the costs involved for kaimanawa from you and are any of them broken in?
