Friday tickets now available
Kaimanawa Heritage Horse Society are pleased to announce that tickets are now available for Friday 22nd November.
ALL PROCEEDS from Friday will be going towards the Kaimanawa Heritage Horse Bronze Statue to be erected in Waiouru.
The 2019 Kaimanawa Ranges trip will be taking place on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th November.
KHH has again arranged with the NZ Army to take a group into the Kaimanawa Ranges to see these fabulous horses in the wild.
See foals, mares, yearlings and stallions in their family bands. See where the annual muster takes place. See spectacular scenery and learn more about how and where these horses run.
The region is normally closed to the public and we are privileged to be able to offer you this experience.
The bus trip includes:
- A talk and a slideshow about safety on the base and army activities.
- A stopover at a scenic spot with an address by a DoC representative giving details on the land and its history.
- A stop for lunch at the yards where the horses are mustered, along with a short address on the muster process.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to provide your own food and drink.
Merchandise will be available for sale during the lunch break (cash only) and on return to the car park where EFTPOS will be available.
This day trip is very popular and tickets sell out very fast once they go on sale. For this reason, priority is given to members of KHH, with the first release of ticket sales being available to members only.
