Kaimanawa Heritage Horses (KHH) is a non-profit organisation. All Committee Members and Area Representatives are volunteers and often fulfill their roles at their own cost.
The rescue of a Kaimanawa horse costs approximately two thousand dollars depending on transport, training needs, veterinary care, and castration. All funds used to secure the welfare of Kaimanawa horses are raised by KHH through membership, donations, raffles, merchandise, and events. We are lucky enough to have growing support through our sponsorship program.
KHH is a registered charity, under the Charitable Trust Act 1957, with the New Zealand Companies Office.
