The thirteenth combination that will be competing in the ULTRA-MOX STALLIONS AND PROFESSIONALS competition at Equidays is KATE HEWLETT and BENJAMIN BUTTON.
Redcliffs Benjamin Button is the stable favourite. He’d be 14hh and 5years old. He is the sweetest guy and showed many signs of being quite content and very accepting. He was able to have his hooves picked up very early on and let us give him a light trim. He is a little laminitic so I am just brushing and scratching him presently. He leads well and absolutely loves his hard feed calling out every time I walk past his paddock 10+ times per day!! I’m so looking forward to doing more with him and he has already been eyed up by Keira to join Redcliffs Ted showjumping one day.
ABOUT TIM:
Hi I’m Kate, I’ve been around horse since getting my first pony at 2yrs old by my special Granny Jean. I was very lucky growing up to have many horsie friends and fabulous beachfront neighbouring farms. We would disappear all-day riding and exploring. This progressed to PC then gymkhanas, showjumping then eventing teaching the highest levels with placing 15th, 7th and 5th at Badminton 4*, British Open Championships and Burghley 4*.
Capatino GNZ and I have now reached Grand Prix in SJ. We have successfully competed in both Kaimanawa Stallion Events and have found wonderful homes for all our ponies.
I was fortunate enough to learn ‘natural horsemanship’ at 23yrs and Tim and I have since included Scientific based learning and Classical Dressage Theories. I am grateful for all the people and horses that have influenced my life and am excited for what is yet to come.
