Members of the Kaimanawa Heritage Horses Welfare Society, with the support of the community, council and the Army, are raising funds for the construction of a life size bronze statue of a kaimanawa horse.
Imagine driving through Waiouru and being able to say you contributed to an iconic roadside landmark.
You will instantly know that you helped raise awareness to the kaimanawa horses and assisted in securing their future.
Please consider donating to the statue fund because the future survival of our heritage horses will only happen through ongoing promotion. A statue will not only become a reason to stop for many travelers but it will capture the attention of many and help create recognition for the place the horses call home.
Even a small donation can make a big difference and collectively we can ensure that the kaimanawa horses will be promoted for generations to come.
No welfare funds will be used towards the statue, so a separate account has been created specifically for this project.
Donations can be made by direct debit to 06 0991 0660 812 03.
Please add “WKHH” as the reference for your donation. Alternatively, cheques can be posted to Kaimanawa Statue, PO Box 176, Patumahoe 2344 Auckland.
If you require a receipt please send an email with details of your donation to firstname.lastname@example.org and one will be posted to you.
