The eighth of our 15 combinations that will be competing in the ULTRA-MOX STALLIONS AND PROFESSIONALS competition at Equidays is TINA FAGAN AND PODRICK.

The second stallion that Tina has been training is named Podrick (following her Game of Thrones theme). He is a cute 4-year-old, who stands at about 14hh.

At the start, he wasn’t interested in being a domesticated horse and much preferred to turn and bury his head into a corner in the hope Tina would simply go away.

He has had the same amount of handling and humanisation as her other stallion Drogon (13 sessions in the first three months), so has actually made huge progress in the time he has had. Tina was very happy that on his 10th day of handling he actually chose to follow her to the yard gate after she took his halter off, and was also very good to be caught.

Podrick loves his food and is very much motivated by his belly which is helping him to settle in and enjoy part of his new life. Tina is also coming to appreciate his change in attitude and interest towards his surrounding as he becomes more curious and chooses to face and watch things he’s unsure about at, rather than turn and leave. Podrick will be an interesting one to watch as he progresses to Equidays.
